'Design Your City' workshop in Ripon with Life with Art

The workshop aimed to execute large scale artwork and to encourage working collaboratively on a huge piece of paper. It was also a great opportunity to try new scale, sweeping mark making, freedom of space, and enjoyment of creating one piece with a whole group.

Materials used: Fabriano paper roll, pencils, felt pens, sharpies, crayons, inks, brushes and sponges.

'Draw, Imagine, Tell a Story' workshop at The Tetley, Leeds

'Draw, Imagine, Tell a Story' workshop at The Tetley involved building a scene using objects and characters, imagining the story and drawing it using various materials. All sorts of techniques have been used and amazing tales told :-)

Our materials for the workshop :-)

Some more wild stuff for creating a scene for the drawing

One of our younger participants got into dot drawing, resulting in a fabulous depiction of a dragon's ash (according to her parents :-) )

Some workshop participants had an incredible imagination building beautiful stories next to their drawings - loved this one!

'Go Abstract' workshop @ The Real Junk Food Project, All Hallows' Cafe

We gathered together to explore the possibilities of creating a 'new' shape or a form and play around with it. We had fabulous chats with music flowing freely and exchanging information ranging from creative events, free swimming opportunities, to food, art and many more. Loads of questions about 'what is abstract art' and 'how do I draw' have been discussed.

It's been amazing to see varied people coming over and enjoying creating in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. I have been impressed with you all and your courage to explore. Please, do not stop!! You all have been great and inspirational! :-)

The works below are made by: Faith, Paige, Rysiu, Stefan, Danny, Wain and few more :-)
